Teach you how to wear back-ear hearing aids properly?

When you have just received the BTE hearing aid, the hearing aid itself is separated from the catheter and earplugs (or ear molds).

First, insert an earplug or ear mold with a catheter into the ear canal, hang the hearing aid on the back of the ear, and cut off the extra catheter after comparing the length.

Then, grasp the hearing aid ear hook and the catheter with both hands and put the catheter on the head of the curved ear hook of the hearing aid. It will be a little tight, and you can put it on slowly. It looks like this (worn in the left ear). (If worn in the right ear, hold the earhook of the hearing aid with one hand and rotate the catheter 180 degrees with one hand.):

Finally, wear the hearing aid as shown

Please read the instruction manual in detail first. Insert the battery (note the positive and negative poles), turn on the switch, and slowly adjust the volume to a suitable level before you can use it.

A problem often encountered by many new users when they use hearing aids for the first time is “howling”, that is, howling sounds are made by hearing aids, especially when the volume is turned on more. The reason for howling is very simple, because the earplugs or ear molds are not completely tightly closed, and the ear canal cannot be closed. The amplified sound of the hearing aid leaks out and is amplified by the hearing aid again, causing the howling. The solution to howling is also very simple. It is necessary to tightly plug the earplugs. If not, use a larger earplug head. You must ensure that the earplugs can seal the ears and eyes, and can not hear the sound normally. It really doesn’t work, you have to take an ear sample and make an ear mold according to the size of the ear canal to solve the howling problem, so that it is more comfortable and firm to wear.

After wearing the hearing aid for a period of time (usually 2 ~ 3 weeks), after getting used to the hearing aid, if you feel that you need to adjust, you can contact your hearing fitter. The fitter can guide you to make some fine-tuning, so the effect will be better.
